How movienot works
movienot is a private, invite-only movie rating app. It replaces algorithm feeds and stranger reviews with something simpler: what your friends actually think is worth watching.
1. Rate what you watch
Search by title, by actor, or just describe a plot in your own words. You can also snap a photo of a movie poster and movienot will identify it for you. Every film, TV show, or YouTube video gets one of four ratings.

Your feed shows only what people you actually know are watching and rating right now. No sponsored posts. No influencers. Just your circle.
4. Watchlist
Save anything you want to watch later. When a friend rates something on your list, you'll know. When you're ready, everything's in one place.
5. Discovery, done differently
Personal recommendations built from your ratings and your friends' ratings, not from what a platform wants you to click. If nobody in your circle has watched it, it doesn't show up.
6. Invite only
movienot is invite-only by design. You join through someone you trust. You invite people whose taste you trust. That's how the recommendations stay honest.
